We're 7 days in, and the excuses for not going to school have already begun.
Wednesday evening Sophia threw up in the middle of the night. She didn't throw up again after that and had no fever, but we kept her home from preschool on Thursday so she could rest. (On a side note, this isn't unusual for her. Sadly, Sophia throws up kind of frequently whenever she eats the wrong kind of food, but after she throws up she's just fine.)
Thursday she was just fine, so this morning, Friday, we decided she should go to school. As she was eating breakfast with Adam she said, "Daddy, I can't go to school. I'm still sick." Adam replied, "I'm sorry Sophia." Sophia said, "Daddy, I can't go to school. My armpit hurts."
Oh my, she's already learned how to make excuses as to why she can't go to school, and what a funny excuse at that!!
She is too funny. Once she gets to school she'll be happy with all her friends.
