Friends

We've had a really blessed month with many chances to deepen relationships.  We often have folks from our team come visit on the weekend.  Here is a photo of Paul and Erin Korson.  They're a couple from Michigan who teach where we taught last year, the #3 high school in Huangshi.  They're awesome people and we've really enjoyed getting to know them!!

One evening our landlord took us out to dinner.  Adam signed a contract for our apartment back in July because he needed the permanent address for getting his visa, but he didn't actually move in until August. 15.  Our landlord, Mr. Lu, agreed that we could pay 1/2 price for the month of July in exchange for English tutoring sessions with Adam.  Through the tutoring, Adam's really enjoyed becoming friends with him.

Another weekend our team celebrated the birthdays of these two guys - Aaron Noble and Kevin Bruce.  They teach in Huangshi so it was fun having them stay at our place.  A bunch of us went out to Papa John's for pizza for their birthday!

Another evening, two of our former students from 2004 came to our house to visit, Lewis and Jade.  Lewis had come over for Thanksgiving and posted some photos from the evening online.  Then his old classmate saw the photos and asked if he could bring her to visit us!  We love connecting with our old friends!
